Stress–strain relationship of sandstone under confining pressure with repetitive impact

A series of triaxial repetitive impact tests were conducted on a 50-mm-diameter split Hopkinson pressure bar testing device to reveal the characteristics dynamic stress–strain sandstone under confining pressure, and in this study was set as 5 10 MPa. The results showed that is very sensitive strain rate. As rate increases, strength, critical absorbed energy also however with increases number impacts, they decrease. With numbers curve gradually transits from Class I II. statistical damage constitutive model used paper can describe response impact. Various influencing factors, such material characteristics, mechanical behavior are fully considered model. changes concave convex $${F \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {F {F_{0} }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} }}$$ increase. When exceed 0.5, appears convex, obvious. By comparing variation reflected wave waveform numbers, it found evolution law rock similar reflect degree specimen without other auxiliary equipment, which has been verified.
